Role Overview


You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend systems and robust applications using Python or Golang. You will work on server-side architecture, performance optimization, and cloud-native technologies while contributing to product development and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities


System Engineering

  • Develop and implement scalable backend systems using Python or Golang.
  • Design robust server-side solutions focused on reliability, scalability, and performance.

Performance Optimization

  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Conduct experiments and implement solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.

Open-Source Contributions

  • Research, evaluate, and integrate relevant open-source projects based on product requirements.
  • Contribute to open-source communities where relevant.

Code Quality & Documentation

  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Establish and promote coding standards and engineering best practices.

Software Development Lifecycle

  • Participate in product definition, system design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Architecture & Design

  • Participate in architectural discussions and design scalable systems.
  • Apply strong engineering and domain expertise to solve complex technical challenges.

Mentorship

  • Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements


Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Python, with experience building scalable applications and frameworks.
  • Good understanding of software architecture and backend system design.

Framework Development

  • Hands-on experience designing and developing reusable framework components.
  • Experience with building scalable and maintainable backend architectures.

Engineering Practices

  • Strong understanding of code refactoring, design patterns, testing methodologies, and TDD.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and software security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering practices.

Cloud & Kubernetes

  • Good understanding of Kubernetes architecture and cloud-native application development.
  • Practical exposure to cloud platforms and containerized environments.

Performance Benchmarking

  • Experience with performance optimization and benchmarking of applications or cloud environments is an advantage.

Open Source

  • Contributions to CNCF or other open-source communities will be an added advantage.
